Manage an employee on leave

Review cycles have no leave or pause status for a participant. Existing work and progress stay active. A cycle admin can keep the work, extend the stage or assignment deadline, or remove the employee from the cycle. Reminders and completion reports continue to use active assignments and their current dates.

Manage a manager on leave

An admin does not automatically take over the manager’s reviews. Reassign work to another active workspace member if someone else must complete it. Reassignment changes the saved cycle manager and removes the former manager’s task and editing access. It does not transfer answers. Reassigning back restores the former manager’s answers. Separate reading access can still apply through the org chart or delegation.

Manage a reviewee who leaves

Keep the participant if their reviews must remain active. Otherwise, use Remove from cycle to archive reviews about them. Removal archives their self, manager, peer, and upward review work, submitted feedback, sharing, and calibration links. Reviews they write about other people remain active. Adding the same work again restores previous answers, but not calibration membership.

Manage a reviewer who leaves

Archiving an account does not move existing assignments automatically. Manager review writers can be changed from the stage’s To-dos. Upward reassignment changes the review subject, so it does not replace the feedback author. Self and peer work do not use the same reassignment action. For peer replacements, follow nomination changes and exceptions. The former reviewer’s answers stay with their assignment and do not move to a replacement.

Account archiving

Archiving an account does not remove the person from an active cycle or archive their saved assignments. It prevents new assignments, new review work, and performance-review emails. Historical submitted data stays in the cycle. The employee can still appear in admin views, sharing, exports, and Insights. Use Remove from cycle to remove them from the active participant list.
