Cancel or revoke a nomination

There are two ways to remove a peer nomination. The difference is who can do it and when. Neither action selects a replacement reviewer.

Replace a reviewer

There is no single action to swap one reviewer for another.
1

Remove the old nomination

Cancel the nomination if you created it. Otherwise, ask a cycle admin to revoke it.
2

Add the new reviewer

Add a new nomination. You must be allowed to create nominations in this cycle.
3

Wait for the request

After the new nomination is approved, the reviewer gets a feedback request when peer feedback is open and at least 15 minutes have passed since approval.

Replace a reviewer who leaves the company

Windmill does not replace a reviewer who leaves the company. It also does not ask the reviewee to choose someone else. Archived employees and workspace members cannot receive new nominations. To get feedback from someone else, a cycle admin revokes the approved nomination and adds an active reviewer. Managers can revoke it only when Let managers revoke nominations is on.

Remove feedback that was already submitted

Revoke the nomination to remove submitted peer feedback from a review. After you revoke it:
  • Review packet and export: The feedback no longer appears in the reviewee’s review packet or in the peer feedback export.
  • Insights: Windmill does not delete the submitted answers. They can still appear in cycle Insights.
  • Replacement feedback: Windmill does not ask for new feedback. Add a new nomination if you need it.
