Windy can read pulse results with you. Ask for takeaways, compare groups, or filter by how people answered. Windy uses your access, so it sees only the responses you can see.

Ask Windy on the pulse page

Open the pulse

Go to Pulse and open the pulse you want to review.

Select Ask Windy

The Windy panel opens on the right, with the pulse already in context.

Pick a suggestion or ask your own question

Suggestions include “What are the high level takeaways?”, “Generate an outline for a slide deck?”, and “What followup questions should I ask?”

Ask Windy in Slack or chat

You can also ask Windy about a pulse in Slack or in Windmill chat. Name the pulse so Windy can find it.
“@Windy summarize the latest run of the Q3 engagement pulse, broken down by group.”
“@Windy list who hasn’t responded to the weekly blockers pulse yet.”

Filter by answers

Windy can filter results by how people answered, which the Insights tab can’t do.
“@Windy summarize what people who answered No to ‘Do you have the tools you need?’ said about blockers.”

Use your own AI tool with MCP

Connect Claude, Codex, Cursor, or another AI tool through the Windmill MCP server. Your tool can then read pulses, runs, participation, insights, and responses. MCP acts as you. If you can’t see a pulse or a response in Windmill, your AI tool can’t see it either. Data that Windmill returns passes through your AI tool’s model, so use a tool that meets your company’s privacy rules.

Turn results into an action plan

The Pulse action plan skill gives Windy steps for a follow-up report. The report covers response rate, strengths and concerns, themes, and 3 to 5 actions with owners. Add the skill once, then ask:

Anonymous pulses

Windy and MCP follow the same anonymity rules as the Windmill Dashboard:
  • They can show who responded, because participation is always named.
  • They can’t show who gave an answer. Anonymous answers never include a name.
  • Results for groups with fewer than 3 responses stay hidden.
