Open the review chat

Use Windy chat on the review page for self, peer, upward, and manager reviews. For self, peer, and upward reviews, you can also use the review’s Slack conversation. Each peer request has a separate conversation. Check the assignment and person before you write. Manager review chat is in Windmill.

Develop an answer with Windy

1

Choose a question

Tell Windy which question you want to work on. You can start with notes or an existing answer.
2

Describe the work

Explain the situation, the action, and the result. Add specific examples. Windy can use the available review context and relevant Company Knowledge, such as a career framework or review guide.
3

Ask for a draft or change

Tell Windy what you want the answer to say. Ask for a draft, a clearer explanation, or a change to an existing answer.
4

Check the saved answer

Read the answer in the review form. Correct errors and add missing details. Windy can save drafts, but submits only after you give explicit approval.

Give specific instructions

State the question, the change, and any facts that Windy must keep. For example:
For the collaboration question, use the launch example I just described. Explain what I did and the result. Keep the answer under 150 words.
For a manager review, you can ask Windy to compare the available feedback before you draft an answer:
Compare the submitted self review with the peer feedback. Identify shared examples that can support the strengths question.

Move between chat and the form

Windy can read saved drafts and recent edits, including changes you make in the form. Chat and the form use the same review record. After AutoDraft, use chat to explain corrections or ask Windy to revise the draft. For a small change to existing text, use quick edits. Draft edits do not replace submitted answers until you submit again. See Drafts, submissions, and missed deadlines.
