Drafts, submissions, and missed deadlines - Windmill Help Site

Move between Windy and Windmill

Self, peer, and upward reviews can start in Slack or on the review page. Manager reviews use the Windmill review page, which includes Windy chat. Both use the same review record. An open review page refreshes when an answer changes through another review screen or chat.

Save draft answers

Windmill saves edited answers as drafts. Saving an answered draft marks a self, peer, or upward review as in progress. Windy confirms a saved draft only after the save succeeds. Before submitting, answer all required questions and keep text answers within the configured word limits.

Change a submitted review

You can edit a submitted review while it remains open for changes. Draft edits do not replace submitted answers until you select Resubmit review. A cycle-admin lock makes a manager review read-only. Cycle completion makes all reviews read-only. Restart Review in Review actions clears your saved answers.

Submit after a deadline

Deadlines are soft while the cycle is active. An incomplete review shows Past the due date, but you can still submit it. Late submissions are included in the cycle. Cycle completion, a manager-review lock, or removal of your assignment can prevent further changes.
