Owners manage a pulse and see all of its responses. The requester is the person Windy names when it asks participants to respond.

Pulse owners

The person who creates a pulse becomes its first owner. Owners that another owner adds show as Co-Owner. Owners with edit access can:
  • Edit questions, participants, and settings.
  • Launch, send, pause, and nudge.
  • Change the expiration.
  • Rename, duplicate, and delete the pulse.
  • See all responses, whatever the response sharing setting.
Admins and HR Admins do not get automatic access to pulses that other people own. To give them access, add them as owners.

Add or remove owners

1

Open the Owners setting

Open the pulse and select the Settings tab. Select edit on Owners.
2

Add an owner

In Edit owners, select Add Owner. Select an employee, then select Add owner.
3

Remove an owner

Select Remove next to the owner. You cannot remove the creator or yourself from this list.
4

Finish

Select Done.
Owners that you add in Settings get edit access. A pulse must always have at least one owner with edit access.

Read-only owners

You can ask Windy to add a read-only owner. Read-only owners can view the pulse and all responses, but cannot change it. They see Read only access at the top of the pulse.
“@Windy add Jordan Lee as a read-only owner of the Q3 engagement pulse.”

Choose the requester

The requester tells participants where the request comes from. Open Settings and select edit on Requester. In Who should this chat come from?, choose one option, then select Save.
  • Specific employee: Windy names this person. You can choose only pulse owners.
  • Their manager: Windy names each participant’s manager.
  • Anonymous: Windy asks without naming anyone.

Give someone access to results

Response sharing and email reports follow the pulse’s anonymity. On an anonymous pulse, nobody sees who wrote a response. See Anonymity and privacy.

FAQs

No. Delegated access gives visibility only. To let someone edit the pulse, add them as an owner.
Add them as owners, or add their email addresses to the email report in Notifications.
