Benefits of connecting Zoom: My Notes

Connect Zoom: My Notes to give Windy context from your Zoom meeting notes. Windmill can link a new note to its matching 1:1 and use the note as context for your work.
  • Sync your Zoom My Notes content, including available summaries and transcripts
  • Link new notes to matching 1:1s in Windmill
  • Keep synced notes private to your Windmill account
  • Give Windy more context from your meetings without syncing audio or video
Zoom: My Notes does not sync existing notes. Windmill only receives new notes that Zoom creates after you connect the integration.

Personal connections

Zoom: My Notes is a personal integration. Each Windmill member connects their own Zoom account. The integration only syncs notes for the person who creates the connection. It does not sync notes that belong to other people in the Zoom account or organization. Synced notes are only visible to the member who created the connection. If Windmill links a note to a shared 1:1, the other participant cannot see the note through your connection. They must connect their own Zoom account to sync and view their own notes.
The administrator-level Zoom integration is separate. It syncs meeting data and transcripts for a connected Zoom account. Zoom: My Notes only syncs the installing member’s personal My Notes content.

Disconnect Zoom: My Notes

1

Open Integrations in Windmill

Go to Settings > Integrations in the Windmill Dashboard.
2

Open My connections

Select My connections. Zoom: My Notes appears here because it is a personal integration, not a company-wide integration.
3

Open the integration menu

Find your connected Zoom: My Notes account. Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the integration card.
4

Disconnect your account

Select Disconnect integration, then confirm that you want to disconnect it.
Windmill stops receiving new My Notes content after you disconnect the integration. Zoom: My Notes does not support a historical backfill. Notes that Zoom creates while the integration is disconnected will not sync if you connect it again.

Connected data

Windmill securely reads the following data from your Zoom account: Windmill does not sync Zoom audio, video, or cloud-recording files through this integration.

Where notes appear

Linked notes on 1:1s

Windmill uses Zoom meeting details to find the matching meeting. When Windmill finds a match, the note appears as a linked recording on the 1:1. The link and its content remain private to the member who connected Zoom: My Notes. Linking the note does not give the other 1:1 participant access.

Windy context

Windy can use the synced note, summary, and available transcript as context when they answer your questions. The note can also provide context for Windmill features that use meeting data. Zoom: My Notes does not copy content into the shared 1:1 agenda. The linked note and the shared agenda remain separate.

Permissions

Windmill requests user-level, read-only access through Zoom OAuth. These permissions apply to the Zoom user who creates the connection.
All requested scopes are read-only. Windmill does not create or change notes, meetings, recordings, or settings in Zoom.
