Connected data

When BambooHR is connected, Windmill securely syncs the following data fields: Windmill does not sync compensation, payroll, benefits, home address, Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, pronouns, or employment contracts. BambooHR remains the source of truth. Windmill reflects what is stored there.

Permissions

Windmill requests read-only access to your BambooHR directory and org chart.
Access is scoped to only the fields required for org structure and performance workflows.

Source of truth

If you want to update an employee’s manager, change a title, or archive an employee,
you’ll need to make that change in BambooHR. Any changes made directly inside Windmill will be overridden the next time BambooHR syncs. In other words:
BambooHR controls employee data. Windmill reflects it.

Changes from BambooHR can take up to a day to appear in Windmill.
