Connected Data

Permissions
The user enabling the integration must have:- Admin permissions in Gusto
- Ability to access People → Team directory data
No passwords or payroll permissions are shared. Windmill has read-only access. It does not write back to Gusto.
Managing Employee + Manager Updates
If you need to:- Change a manager
- Update someone’s department or title
- Archive a terminated employee
Make the change in Gusto.Gusto is the source of truth for employee records.
Any updates made directly in Windmill will be overwritten on the next sync.
