Edit a shared review

1

Unlock the review

If the manager review is locked, a cycle admin unlocks it.
2

Edit and submit

The assigned manager edits the review on the normal review page and submits it again.
3

Lock the review again

A cycle admin locks the review again to stop further edits.
The packet can stay shared during editing. Complete changes before the cycle is completed or archived. After that, you cannot edit, unlock, revoke access, or share.

Update the employee’s packet

Draft edits do not change the packet. After the manager submits, the employee sees the latest effective submitted answers the next time they open it. Windmill does not automatically notify the employee about an update.

Undo sharing

To undo sharing, a cycle admin selects Revoke Access for a packet with the status Sharing enabled or Shared. This immediately removes employee access. Windmill keeps the review, questions, and sharing history. The employee does not get a notification. The packet’s next status depends on the sharing model:
  • Managers share directly: Returns to enabled. The assigned manager and managers above the employee keep access, and the manager can share it again.
  • HR enables sharing: Returns to pending. Those managers lose packet access unless they are also cycle admins.
Cycle admins keep access in both cases.

Share the corrected packet

Share the packet again when corrections are complete. Windmill sends a new Slack notification. Employees receive notifications when a packet is shared or shared again. They do not receive automatic notifications for edits or revoked access.
