Your pulse answers stay private until you submit them. After you submit, you can still edit your response or withdraw it.

Drafts save automatically

Windmill saves your answers as you type on the web form. In Slack, Windy saves your answers at natural breaks in the chat. You do not need a save button. Drafts are private. Pulse owners and other viewers do not see your answers until you submit. Drafts sync between Slack and the web form. You can start with Windy in Slack and finish on the web form, or the other way around. The web form shows only the answers that Windy has saved. Windy keeps the changes you make on the web form.

Submit your response

On the web form, select Submit. If a required question has no answer, you see Please answer all required questions. The form moves you to the first question that needs an answer. After you submit, you see Response submitted. Your response is now shared with the people who can view it. In Slack, Windy submits for you when every question is answered or skipped and every required question has an answer. Learn more in Respond to a pulse.

Edit after you submit

A submitted response shows the Response submitted banner with the time you submitted. You can still change your answers. Your changes stay private until you submit again. People who can view your response see your last submitted version until then. In Slack, Windy submits your edits again when every required question has an answer.

Withdraw your response

Withdraw your response to remove it from the pulse.

Open your response

Open the pulse from Pulse > Responses or from the link in Slack.

Select Withdraw response

Select Withdraw response in the Response submitted banner.

Confirm

In Withdraw your response?, select Withdraw response.
Your answers stay saved as a draft, so you can edit and submit again later. Windmill removes your response from the pulse and from Slack.
Reports that were already emailed may still include your response. Windmill cannot recall them.
You can also ask Windy in Slack to withdraw your response.

See your past responses

Go to Pulse and open the Responses tab. It lists the pulses you have responded to. Open one to see or change your answers.
