Each report is tied to one or more routines and includes the responses Windy collected. Reports are structured to help you quickly:See participation
View who responded and who didn’t. This helps you identify engagement patterns and follow up with team members who missed the routine.Spot patterns

Automatic report generation
Reports are automatically generated when routines complete: Recaps Generated after the recap window closes (typically weekly). Shows all activities, accomplishments, and collaboration data for your team. Pulse Surveys Generated when the survey expires. Shows participation rates and all responses (public or aggregated for anonymous surveys). 1-on-1s Generated after each 1-on-1 conversation between Windy and a team member. Includes talking points, action items, and notes. Continuous Feedback Generated continuously as feedback is submitted. You can view all feedback in real-time or wait for scheduled summaries. Shoutouts Aggregated in weekly or monthly reports showing recognition patterns across your team. You’ll receive an email notification when a new report is ready, and you can always view reports in the Windmill Dashboard under Reports.Viewing reports
To view reports:- Go to Reports in the Windmill Dashboard
 - You’ll see a list of all reports organized by date
 - Click any report to view details
 - Use filters to find specific report types or date ranges
 
- Admins can view all reports across the organization
 - Managers can view reports for their direct reports and teams
 - Individual contributors can view reports that include their own data
 
Custom reports
In addition to automatic reports, you can generate custom reports on demand:- Go to Reports in the Windmill Dashboard
 - Click Generate Report
 - Choose Custom Report
 - Type what you’re looking for in the text box (e.g., “Show me all feedback about our product launch”)
 - Windy generates a new report instantly
 
- “What blockers has my team mentioned in the last month?”
 - “Show me all positive feedback for Sarah from the past quarter”
 - “What are the common themes in our recent pulse surveys?”
 - “Which team members haven’t completed a recap in 3 weeks?”
 
Report structure
Reports follow a consistent structure to make them easy to scan:Summary

Sharing reports
You can share reports with other team members:- Open the report you want to share
 - Click Share in the top right
 - Enter the email addresses of people you want to share with
 - They’ll receive a link to view the report
 
When you share a report, recipients can see all data in that report. Make sure you only share with people who should have access to that information.
Exporting reports
You can export reports as PDFs or CSVs: PDF export Exports the full report including summaries, insights, and detailed responses. Great for presentations or archiving. CSV export Exports raw data from the report in spreadsheet format. Great for further analysis or importing into other tools. To export:- Open the report
 - Click Export in the top right
 - Choose PDF or CSV
 - The file downloads to your computer
 
Report history and archiving
All reports are automatically saved in your report history. You can access past reports anytime by going to Reports and filtering by date range. Reports are never automatically deleted. Historical reports remain available even after team members leave or routines are deactivated.Reports are archived with full context, so you can always go back and review past insights even if your team structure or routines have changed.
Report notifications
You can control when you receive report notifications:- Go to Settings > Notifications
 - Choose notification preferences for each report type
 - Options include:
- Immediate (as soon as the report is generated)
 - Daily digest (once per day with all new reports)
 - Weekly digest (once per week with all new reports)
 - Off (no notifications, but reports are still generated)

Yes, you can set up scheduled digests in Settings > Notifications. Choose daily or weekly digests to receive reports automatically via email.

Yes, reports include data from all connected integrations (GitHub, Jira, Slack, etc.) as well as responses from Windy conversations. Custom reports can pull from any of this data.

Admins can delete reports, but we recommend archiving them instead. Deleted reports can’t be recovered.
