Goals

The Goals Routine helps teams set, track, and update progress on company goals in an organized way. Here’s how it works:

How can I create Goals within Windmill?

  • Start by creating a new routine and selecting Goals.

  • You can upload goals from an existing system or document or you can add them manually

  • Each goal can include:

    • Name & description

    • Assigned employees who will provide updates

Who can see Goals updates?

  • Choose who can see the routine (e.g., entire company, specific teams)

  • Decide how often it runs (manually, weekly, etc.)

  • Set a response window (e.g., 6 hours for updates)

  • Give the routine a name for easy reference

  • When your Goals Routine expires, your goals update report will be delivered to your inbox

How does Windy collect updates?

  • When the routine runs, Windy pings all assigned team members

  • Team members respond with progress updates (voice-to-text is supported)

  • Windy can ask clarifying questions to ensure accurate reporting

What will I see in my Goals reports?

  • After the response window closes, Windy generates a Goals Report showing:

    • What’s in progress

    • What’s at risk

    • Any action items

    • Goals that have not started

  • You can drill down into any update to see the underlying team conversations and linked project data.
