# Subprocessor notifications

> Choose who receives notices when Windmill adds or changes a subprocessor, so your security, legal, or procurement team stays informed.

Windmill emails a notice when it changes the subprocessors that handle your data. You can add your security, legal, or procurement contacts so they get these notices too, even if they aren't Windmill members.

## Who receives notifications

Subprocessor change notifications go to:

* **All Admins** in your Windmill account
* **Any additional email addresses** you add in **Settings > Security**

Additional recipients don't need a Windmill account. A shared inbox like `security@yourcompany.com` works well.

## Managing additional recipients

Admins, HR Admins, and Integration Managers can manage additional recipients from [Settings > Security](https://app.gowindmill.com/COMPANY/config/security).

### Adding a recipient

    Open [Security settings](https://app.gowindmill.com/COMPANY/config/security) in the Windmill Dashboard.

  <Step title="Find the Subprocessor notifications card">
    The card lists the additional recipients already on file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter an email address and click Add email">
    The address is added to the list and receives future subprocessor notices.

### Removing a recipient

Click **Remove** next to the address in the **Subprocessor notifications** card. That address stops receiving notices. Admins keep receiving notices while they have the Admin role.

    No. All Admins receive subprocessor notifications automatically. The list in **Settings > Security** is only for additional recipients.

    Yes. Any valid email address can be added, including shared inboxes and people outside Windmill.
