> Connect Airtable to Windmill so Windy can read your bases and surface project, customer, and operational context inside 1:1s, recaps, and feedback flows.

# Airtable

## Benefits of connecting Airtable to Windmill

Integrating Airtable with Windmill allows project and task updates to flow directly into performance conversations — without manual effort.

* Automatically captures accomplishments and progress from Airtable
* Eliminates the need to reconstruct history during reviews and 1:1s
* Grounds performance conversations in real work, not memory or bias
* Helps managers show up prepared and employees get fair recognition

Windmill turns ongoing Airtable activity into usable context for feedback, coaching, and review writing.

## Connected data

When connected, Windmill can securely read the following Airtable information:

| Data Type | How Windmill Uses It |
| --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Record updates (project/task activity) | Builds timelines of contributions for 1:1s and reviews |
| Comments / discussion threads | Adds qualitative context and nuance to achievements and challenges |
| Status fields (e.g., In Progress, Done) | Helps summarize progress and measurable outcomes |
| Assigned collaborator / owner | Associates work with the correct employee profile |

> You choose which bases and tables to sync. Windmill only accesses data you authorize.

## Permissions

Windmill requests **read-only** access to Airtable.

| Permission | Purpose |
| ------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Read access to selected bases/tables | To gather relevant work context and updates |
| Read collaborator metadata | To match work to the correct employee in Windmill |
| **No write access** | Windmill never edits or changes Airtable records |
| **No access to unselected bases** | You maintain complete control over shared data |
