# Review data and context access

> Understand access to review sources, packets, PDFs, and external data.

## Keep source information private

Review writing support uses information the author can access. Sources can include 1:1 notes, private notes and feedback, goals, past shared reviews, Company Knowledge, and connected work records.

Authors can also add notes, observations, documents, and voice-note transcripts to their private writing session.

Sources keep their original access rules. Shared reviews contain the questions and answers, not the source records themselves.

## Read internal packets and download PDFs

Assigned and skip-level managers can read internal packets for employees below them in the saved cycle reporting line. Cycle admins can read packets across the cycle. Delegated HRBP access does not grant these internal packets.

Only a cycle admin can create and download the packet PDF ZIP export. The requester must still be a cycle admin at download time.

An authorized manager or cycle admin can download a completed manager review as a draft PDF. The reviewee cannot download that draft. After sharing, the employee can download the employee PDF with only the shared questions visible to them.

Your own internal packet and packet PDF remove manager-review content and hide peer and upward answers.

## Delegated and external access

Delegation uses the current org chart. It can grant selected manager feedback and shared-packet access for people within the delegated reporting line.

Cycle-wide packet access, organization progress, bulk sharing, and packet exports need cycle-admin access. Calibration details, pre-reads, and reviewee packets need membership in that calibration. Management actions need a facilitator.

There is no limited external review role or public review link. Packet export downloads require the authenticated cycle admin who requested the export and a valid download token.

## Access changes

Internal cycle packets use the saved management hierarchy. Selected manager feedback views and shared manager-review packets can use the current hierarchy and delegation. The saved assigned manager also has manager-facing sharing access.

Changing the org chart does not reassign the writing task. Reassigning a primary manager review changes its writer and saved cycle manager, which changes later internal packet access.

Sharing grants employee access to visible questions. Revoking sharing removes that access. Locking affects editing only.

Calibration membership gives access to that calibration and its reviewees. It does not grant cycle-wide packet access or share results.
